Gillian A Michael

Gillian graduated in Podiatric Medicine with a first class honours degree in 1995 at The University of Westminster. She opened the practice within John Bell & Croyden in June 1996. The practice consists of Gillian's 3 Associates, Heather, Sophie and Jade and not forgetting the very efficient Yvonne and Sandra who are her PAs/Receptionists!

In addition to providing routine Chiropody, Gillian's special interest is lower limb biomechanics and orthoses with a particular interest towards sports injuries.

She has been privileged to have worked within professional sport with Q.P.R and Luton Town F.C and also with Wasps Rugby team. She has also had the opportunity to work with other professional sports people including runners and netball players and been consulted by professional dancers and performers on the West End stage. As part of continuing professional development, Gillian regularly attends local branch meetings, study groups and conferences. 

Gillian has a sympathetic friendly approach to her patients and aims to provide the best treatment and outcome to ensure patients are completely satisfied with their individual experience of her clinic.

Outside of work, her interests are spinning, walking with Hugo, her cute cockapoo dog and since early childhood, been a keen fan of the magnificent Tottenham Hotspur!

Sophie Mordecai

Sophie began her career by reading Bsc Biomedical Sciences at the University of Leeds, where she gained a broad understanding of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology and neuroscience. This provided a platform for her to excel in her subsequent degree in BSc Podiatric Medicine at the University of East London where she gained a first class Honours.

Sophie's specialities include biomechanics, nail surgery, high risk diabetes, treatment of fungal and ingrown toenails, debridement of callus and corns and verrucae management, including routine podiatric care. She has been working at Gillian Michael's clinic since 2010, where she provides high quality, gentle but thorough treatment to all her patients. 

Sophie aims to put all nervous patients at ease and to provide relief for any foot problem she is presented with, leaving her patients 'walking on air!'

Heather Johnson

Heather has a strong commitment for excellence and has undertaken extensive post graduate training since qualifying in 1984.

She has much experience across the spectrum of chiropody and podiatry including, General footcare (nail care and corn and callus management), Vascular and neurological assessment of the feet, Management of the 'high risk' foot disorders (as in diabetes or rheumatoid arthritis), Local anaesthesia, Ingrown toenail treatments, Verruca therapies including Needling procedures, Electro-surgery procedures and Shoe fitting.

Heather is committed to explaining the advantages, disadvantages, cost and time required regarding treatment options so patients can make informed decisions about their care. She is committed to keeping her patients happy so that they feel comfortable referring their family and friends.

Bindu Johnson

Bindu graduated from the University of Northampton with a BSc(Hons) in Podiatric Medicine in 2007. She has been practising at the clinic since 2010 providing a high standard of treatment to all her patients.

She has experience in all aspects of general Podiatry and has a keen interest in diabetes and nail Surgery.

Bindu maintains her commitment and continual professional development to Podiatry by attending a variety of courses to develop her knowledge and skills.

She aims to provide the best possible and thorough treatment to all of her patients and also ensure that they are more informed on the management of their feet.
